Match report
Dolphins kicked off the match deep down into Brightons half, after some back and forth in their half a debutant Jack Adams broke through the defensive line to touch the ball down over the try line which was successfully converted by our number 14 Jenni.
Dolphins held the lead for a short amount of time after a solid run from Brighton bringing the score to 7-7.
A few big hits and solid scrums later another debutant Cowyn touched down for try number two, a decent effort from Jenni again however the conversion fell short but Dolphins retook the lead 7-12.
Another slight breakdown in our defense led to another Brighton try not long before the half time whistle, Dolphins went in at half time trailing 14-12.
Second half kicked off and the scrums went to uncontested due to Brighton having unstable scrum with lots of newbies. Another two tries in the second half scored by Luke and Cowyn brought the final score to 14-22 to Dolphins!
The game was very hard fought and we took a couple of knocks, James dislocated his shoulder, Mr Murphy taking a bit of a knock causing the only replacement (the coach) to make an effort and get on the pitch, a very solid performance from everyone on the pitch, a couple of points to take away from this but again we continue to build the fortress and continue our unbeated streak.
Next match is a home game Plymouth Dolphins RFC Vs OPM RFC on 14th October.
